DIT Strategic Forum
The Dubai Institute of Technology (DIT) organized the first “DIT Strategic Forum” on 2nd July 2009 in Dubai. The objective of this forum was to share the DIT strategy towards a knowledge based economy in Dubai with high level representatives from five core fields: water, health, energy, industrial engineering, logistics & mobility.
Dr. Adnan Kaddaha, Chairman & Managing Director of CEDARS Hospital and CEDARS International, was invited to chair the workshop of the healthcare sector. Hamad Al Hashemi, Managing Director of DIT, highly appreciated his contribution, engagement and efforts made in identifying the strategic research areas within the healthcare session which has led the forum to become a great success.
Research in the health care sector will be at the core of the prospective CEDARS International project at the TechnoPark and at the upcoming hospital site extension. For this reason CEDARS has already signed an MOU with Steinbeis Research Institute and with Fraunhofer Middle East – two leading research institutes from Germany.
